BeyoncĂ© 2008 Grammy Performance with Tina Turner – Video

February 11, 2008 by Lauren Croteau

BeyoncĂ© gave quite a performance tonight at the 50th Grammy Awards and was then joined by the fabulous Tina Turner.  It’s crazy because I just put up Bey’s performance of “Proud Mary” at the Kennedy Center Honors and at Divas Live with Jewel.

Just checking in with my girl BeyoncĂ©. You know I start wondering how she’s doing. :D

Lord. Actually, just slipping around b5 trying to raise page views. I think you need a b5 blog in the Lifestyles channel or something though. Then I’d visit more – I’m not THAT worried about BeyoncĂ©.

Jennifer, you crack me up. I thought about applying for that low-fat cooking one, to tell the truth but then I’d have like 100 blogs :)

I am thrilled and amazed at the fire that has continued to run through the veins of Queen Turner,
Beyonce did a great job of keeping up! LOL Tina you continue to inspire, and dazzle you make it look so good…….and easy! Rock on Lady T! YOU make me proud to be a WOMAN!

Tina done a wonderful job on the grammies, and I loved her performance!! However, whether you do what the man says or not (the people who runs the grammys)Beyonce, first learn how to be who you are and not what people espect you to be. Reality check! Jay Z helped make you who you are today!! You were doing well and was on the right track, but Jay Z took you to that next level and without him, I don’t think you would be where you are now!! SOOOO… “YOU NEED TO KEEP IT REAL AT ALL TIMES.” Tina is a great person and performer and always will be, but “THE REAL QUEEN OF SOUL, IS AND SHALL REMAIN FOREVER AND A DAY, “THE GREAT ARETHA FRANKLIN.” “ARETHA, YOU GO GIRLLLLL.” Oh! B u know J is cheating!! So don’t keep being to crazy in love, because in the end, your going to get your heart broken. I truly feel for you. “May God Be With You.”

  7. Celeste says:

What a WOW performance, Tina still has it! It would be good if we could see more of her. Beyonce rocked right along with her in the great Tina style.

  8. tina anne says:

    Please oh please…

Tina Turner has always been known as THE QUEEN OF ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!! PEOPLE KEEP FORGETTING THAT. ROCK AND ROLL IS NOT SOUL.

  9. katz says:

    Yes.

  10. Dominique Warfield says:

I am writing a paper on African American Women who have a strong influence on our present day music and i used Beyonce` as an example of one of the females who has been influenced by Women from our past musical years , such as Ms. Tina Turner. I have alwas loved music and am very proud of the work that is being done. I cant wait to be apart of it one day.

  11. Sandy says:

I think the performance was ok….just ok it was what i expected really……. nothing to rant and rave about at all. Sorry Stans!

  12. Kim says:

Rock and Roll, Soul or whatever you all are complaining about, it all started with the true pure gospel music. The performance was AWSOME no one does it better!!!!!
