Beyoncé and Jay-Z Among "Most Powerful"

Beyoncé Knowles and her new husband, Jay-Z, have made Forbes’ 2008 list of the “World’s Most Powerful Celebrities.” The list is determined by earnings, internet presence, press clippings, magazine covers and mentions on TV and radio.
Oprah Winfrey made the top of the list, Beyoncé came in fourth place and Jay-Z placed seventh. Can you imagine not only being on this list but also having your husband among the Top 10 as well?
of course Oprah is #1. But a very impressive 4th spot for our girl & her hubby in 7th. I guess you can add this IV to their list of IV’s
I guess. Hard-work will get you far, but popularity seems to be what’s getting these celebs even further. Anyways, congrats!!

Not at all. This list isn’t just about money, but poularity, magazine covers, etc. All of those people ahead of Jay are more exposed than he is.
What’s amazing is that Bee didn’t even make the top 100 list in 2007 & Jay made it to #9.
But this year Bee made a LOT more money than last & Jay made almost exactly the same amount.
