Beyoncé at the 2007 Essence Music Festival!

Beyoncé will appear at the 2007 Essence Music Festival. This event is going to be held in New Orleans and I think it is great. The festival, which is usually held in the historic Louisiana city, has been displaced due to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Now, the festival is returning to it’s home at the Saddledome and Beyoncé is going to be there for this wonderful “welcome home” party! The festival is America’s largest annual African-American event celebrating Black music and culture. The line-up is off the hook! Here is the schedule:
-
July 5 - Ciara, Ludacris, O’Jays, Levert, Keith Sweat & Johnny Gill.
-
July 6 - Beyoncé, Robin Thicke, Steve Harvey, Chris Brown
-
July 7 - Ne-Yo, Maze w/Frankie Beverly, Lionel Richie, Mary J. Blige.
-
Throughout the event, there will be a smaller venue featuring many artists including Angie Stone, Chante Moore and Common.

Seriously! When I saw Johnny Gill’s name, I almost passed out. They can keep Keith Sweat, though. What a whiny singer.
