Beyoncé Proud to Pave Way for African-American Women

In an interview for the current edition of Cosmopolitan magazine, Beyoncé had the following to say:
“I feel blessed that I’m the first black woman to do a lot of things - I have my own fragrance, for one. I’ve been in magazines that don’t usually have African-American women on the cover. I have all these endorsements and this worldwide success - it’s great to be recognised for more than my colour… I had pictures of Whitney Houston pinned up inside my wardrobe when I was a kid. I once queued for her autograph and remember getting home and crying with the emotion of it all.”
How sweet! I wonder how she feels about Whitney Houston now? She definitely is the first to have her own fragrance but she shares her magazine cover success with Halle Berry (my gawd that woman is beautiful - does she age?). They are both gorgeous so I can see why they have been so successful.

Kudos to her for her accomplishments but did anyone know that even if Bey won a Grammy, Tony and Oscar she would not be the first African American to achieve such an honor. Well Ms. Whoopi Goldberg been there and done that! Who knew. Yet still and all it would be great for our Bey to accomplish such a feat. If she did it before she turned 30 then she would be the FIRST. but second place is not so bad
