Beyoncé Video Premieres: "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies"
October 16, 2008 by Lauren Croteau
Beyoncé’s videos for "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" were released on October 14th! So what do you guys think?! Personally, I liked the lyrics and the message of "If I Were a Boy." That being said, I’m not sure if I like the actual melodic part of the song. The singing was fine but I didn’t like the melody much. I liked that it definitely was different for Bey. She doesn’t usually release songs like this. I liked the video for the song, though.
I wasn’t surprised much by "Single Ladies". I liked it! I think it’s catchy and fun. She’s really moving in the video! I love how she’s not self conscious of her body, too. I was also surprised that both videos are in black and white. Click on the links for them below!
