Beyoncé’s Dad Says She’s Not Feuding with Ne-Yo
Wow. I guess I don’t blame Beyoncé for getting upset about rumors in the press. I can’t stop running in to articles claiming that she is in one feud or another. Well, today’s focus is on her alleged problems with singer Ne-Yo. Her father and manager, Mathew Knowles, has poo-poohed rumors that he is upset with Ne-Yo for claiming he helped write B’s song “Irreplaceable.” Ne-Yo was said to be upset when Beyoncé took full credit for the song, telling MTV that “apparently Beyonce was at a show somewhere and right before the song came on, she said: ‘I wrote this for my girls…’ The song is a co-write. I wrote all the lyrics. Beyonce helped me with the melodies and the harmonies and the vocal arrangement, and that makes it a co-write.” Despite this, Daddy Knowles told the New York Daily News that there are no hard feelings saying “Today is the first day I learned I’m unhappy with Ne-Yo. I never knew he said that. He does deserve to share in the credit.”
Hmmmm….

Haha, I won Im the first. I am not surprised that she took credit for the song. I believe it”was her ego that caused the break up of “Destinys child

Yeah, I definitely can see how there might be some “diva” in Beyoncé. I have also heard chatter about how it affected Destiny’s Child and even her relationship with other co-workers. Yikes.

This is so old but I’m going to respond anyway. If anyone knows about music writing writers will send music to artists (i.e. beyonce). Beyonce hears the song and will change up the lyrics, melodies, sound, etc. etc. - It’s called making it your own. Then the singer will contact the writer and say yes I want it and will pay X amount of dollars for the song. If anyone watched her BET special that was sold w/ B-day she gave Ne-yo credit. However Ne-yo is under the impression she MUST say this every time she sings the damn song. I mean it’s his homosexual ego that has gotten the best of him. That’s not the reason why Destiny’s child split. Obviously Bey is too big for them. When they did poorly solo she agreed to reunite. So who has the ego?

Below is an interview that Neyo conducted when Irreplaceable became this big hit. Now I hope everyone can see what a hyprocrit he is!!!

L: On the topic of Beyonce – you co-wrote Irreplaceable, how did that come about?
Ne-yo: The song was not originally written for Beyonce, I let Beyonce hear to it and she loved it and she cut it she put that Beyonce spin on it. If you listen to my demo and you listen to the finished version its almost two completely different songs because she put a melody here that wasn’t there, she did a riff here that wasn’t there, so she did melody work and vocal arrangement – I did the lyrics jam it together and you get what you hear on the radio – seven thousand times a day.
