Singing and acting sensation, Beyoncé Knowles was ranked #4 on Forbes magazine’s list of 100 Most Powerful Celebrities! How awesome is that?! I’ve got to agree, though. With her ability to excel in everything she does, how could she not be among the most powerful? Plus, with her latest music video for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” she’s created a YouTube phenomenon of people making videos of themselves doing her dance moves. She definitely deserved this position.

Here’s what Forbes had to say about her:

In the last year, Queen B dropped a double album, starred in two films, performed at both the Oscars and a Presidential Inaugural Ball and embarked on what is expected to be, at minimum, a 110-date international tour. She also expanded a fashion collection that includes casual and formal lines as well as jewelry and eyeglasses, and added sponsors Nintendo, Crystal Geyser and General Mills to a roster of endorsers already including L’Oréal, Giorgio Armani and Samantha Thavasa handbags

Husband, Jay-Z didn’t do too shabby either! He came in at the #32 spot on the magazine’s list! They said of the rap star:

Jay-Z reclaims his crown as the top earner in hip-hop cash this year, despite taking a steep pay cut from the $82 million he brought in a year ago. The reason? He signed a top-heavy 10-year, $150 million deal with Live Nation last April. That is fantastic! I mean, when you work hard and you’ve accomplished so much in your life, considering how young Beyoncé is still, it’s got to feel amazing to be recognized as one of the most powerful celebrities ever. Congrats to Bey and Jay!

Zimbio has recently released their list of the 100 Hottest Celebrity Couples, and of course, Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z ranked high at #2! Zimbio came up with the result to this list through what they say is scientific method. All the couples were ranked according to attractiveness, success, staying power and popularity. Bey and Jay are definitely abundant in all of those categories! The only couple to beat them out was Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Rightfully, deserved, I think. I think in general they did a great job, but I’m just not liking the Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady pairing.

Some recent rumors have been circulating that Jay-Z is working out a deal with Sony Music to make some kind of deal between them and his own record label, Roc Nation.

What’s the cause for these rumors? Well, apparently there have been some meetings between the CEO for Sony, Howard Stringer and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation partner, Jay Brown.

Wife, Beyoncé Knowles is under Columbia Records label whish is a branch of Sony. And if you believe some of the reports, we might very well be seeing some sort of official announcement made soon.

We all know Jay can make some pretty great deals and investments, so we’ll see what happens!

According to reports, songstress Beyoncé and husband, Jay-Z were spotted partying until the wee morning hours – the night before she had a show scheduled for her “I Am…” World Tour in London’s O2 Arena.

The “Single Ladies” singer was seen at two clubs, being the 50 St James Casino as well as Modiva, which was holding a party for the soccer players of the Premier League. An insider says, "Beyoncé and Jay-Z had the top table in the VIP area and spent thousands on Cristal champagne and Belvedere vodka."

The source continues, "Their security team was on strict orders, and none of the footballers or their mates got anywhere near them…They were joined by Beyoncé’s sister and ten others, but only had two security guards. They had their hands full keeping everyone at bay."

Beyoncé was supposedly also "being very tactile and ignoring the rest of their group" and that "Beyoncé was singing along to Jay’s tune with him filling in the rapping parts".

Interesting. Well, the thing about Beyoncé is that she’s really dedicated to her work, so I’m not sure if I’m buying these rumors or not. However, it’s an interesting thought. Plus, as long as she did a good job shaking her booty and blowing the audience away with her voice the next day, who cares?

Here’s a hot new track by Jay-Z called “Can’t Cheat Death” that I had to share.  The single is produced by DJ Premier, a well respected DJ, and comes off of a project called “Premier Issue vol. 7: Hova Edition” which has a set release date for July 4th.  Hova’s wife, Beyoncé is featured a bit at the beginning.

I love the beat of it. It’s very simple but it’s enough to get you bobbing your head a bit. I think it’s the perfect song for the fourth of July. Let me know what you think of the track.

According to Kanye West, Jay-Z is one of the greats. How great? Well, enough to earn him the title of being our modern day Frank Sinatra. He didn’t stop with the praise, though.

The rapper also claims that Beyoncé as well as other artists could be legendary. "I look at our current superstars like legends in the making. Like Justin is the new Mike, Beyoncé’s the new Tina Turner, Gaga’s Madonna, Jay is Sinatra. (Lil’) Wayne is Hendrix, Thom Yorke is Roger Waters. These are the champions and they should be documented as such."

Um…really, Kanye? I’m sorry but I’m going to have to disagree with some of this. Yes, Beyoncé is an amazing performer like Tina Turner, but Beyoncé sets herself apart because she’s not only made a name for herself in the music industry. She’s also established herself respectively in so many other ways. Sure, you can see how she’s been inspired by other artists, but in the end, Beyoncé is Beyoncé and shouldn’t be put next to anyone else.

As for the others namely Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga, I think we’ll have to wait to see how long they stick around, then we can start with naming legends. Gaga’s been around for all of one year. Let’s not get too excited.

As a teenager, and even now, Beyoncé says she worked extremely hard and that she was always busy working. The songstress/actress says she never went out on a date and didn’t know if she’d ever have a boyfriend.

She tells the Sunday Mirror, “There were certain moments when I was 18 and I’d look out of the window to see girls going to parties with their boyfriends and think, ‘How am I ever going to meet anybody?’ I couldn’t just go on a date, and nobody was going to ask me out. I was working too hard and not exposed to people my own age. But now I’m in such a great place and I’m happy that I’ve found the person I’ve found. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

Beyoncé also addressed one of the hottest topics surrounding her: having kids. She says, as she has many times, that she does want to start a family but that there are some things that she wants to do before she settles down.

Speaking about the Obama Inauguration, Beyoncé says that performing for the new Presidential family was even more nerve wracking than performing at the Oscars. She explains, “Even if I wasn’t singing I would have been nervous and overwhelmed just being in the room. Everyone could feel it, it was something spiritual.”

She went on to say that both President Barack and Michelle Obama were both meant to do what they’re doing now. She also says, “Michelle was there talking to everyone, and she looks you right in the eyes. To see how gracious they are reminds me of how I’m supposed to be.”

This boy doesn’t want to give this a rest. No, he says he’s got a point to prove. We heard about Spencer saying that he’s just like the “white Jay-Z” but this time, he not only compared himself to Jay-Z…again, but he’s also comparing his wife, Heidi Montag to Beyoncé.

Spencer speaks to Complex magazine and starts the smack talk, "Beyoncé had to be built by a group like Destiny’s Child, but [Pratt's collaborator and new bride] Heidi shines solo. I’ll actually give you an exclusive: I could guarantee you Speidi’s "Bonnie & Clyde" version is going to stunt on Jay and B’s version."

Wow. He has no shame.

Um…okay… That annoying, attention-seeking guy from MTV’s reality show “The Hills”, Spencer Pratt, is saying that he’s got the swagger and talent of one of the best rappers in the music business right now.

The reality TV star told MTV News that he’s planning to release his very own rap album and even refers to himself as “the white Jay-Z.” Spencer says, "I’m the white Jay-Z in the game. I’m doing the baller thing. I’m more for the streets."

Wow. Uh, does he know who he’s talking about? He’s gonna get himself punched in the face one day, talking like that ;). Not that his wife, Heidi Montag is any more likeable….

On Wednesday, Jay-Z performed a show at the University of Arizona along with “American Idol” winner, Kelly Clarkson, rock group Third Eye Blind and Australian band, The Veronicas. It might have been quite a weird match up, but Jay-Z said that it made it a really fun show to perform. He writes on the RapRadar blog, "I had a ball!”

He explains that he’s always felt we should become more united when it comes to music, "On the show as well were Third Eye Blind and Kelly Clarkson — I thought that to be the oddest pairing EVER but, soon realized, it’s what I’ve always professed. There is NO such thing as BLACK music or WHITE music, only GOOD or BAD music."

He encourages us to step out of the stereotypes and norms and to go with something different. "It’s stupid cool to like things that are not like you, and that goes for outside of music. If you’re an African American, you can have a Jewish friend."

He’s hoping this type of event will happen more often. "I think concerts like this should happen more often — outside of the one or two festivals a year or ‘Zootopia,’. I’m putting that into the universe. Next up, Taylor Swift and [rapper] Uncle Murda!"

I agree. It’s great when completely different artists and people can come together and enjoy themselves!
