Jay-Z Opening Newly Renovated Hollywood Palladium

August 26, 2008 by Lauren Croteau

JAY-Z

The Hollywood Palladium, a theatre large enough to hold up to 4,000 people, has been undergoing some major changes and renovations, attempting to restore the Palladium to the state it was in when it opened in 1940. Frank Sinatra and the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra played that night to celebrate the stadium’s opening. Naturally, there are high expectations for the debut of the new Palladium on October 15th. How do they plan on opening with a bang? Getting, Jay-Z to perform with a 12-piece band!

“I’m honored to play such an iconic venue,” said the king of swagger. "Just as Frank ushered in a golden era, I hope this opening will mark the beginning of a resurgence in generation-defining live music.”

Tickets are up for grabs on September 5th. Sounds exciting!
