Jay-Z’s Moment of Silence For Kanye’s Mom

November 13, 2007 by Jeanne

donda and kanye west PopSugar reports that during his concert two nights ago, Jay-Z asked the audience to observe a moment of silence in honor of Kanye West’s mother, Dr. Donda West

You may have already heard but Kanye’s mom, to whom he was very close, passed away this weekend from, what some are reporting, complications from cosmetic surgery.

Right before performing his final song, "Roc Boys" Jay-Z said to the crowd, "Let’s get serious for a minute…This show is dedicated to Kanye West who had a death in the family….We got you, Kanye. Stay strong."

I really feel for Kanye, who was in London when he received the news.  This must be a really difficult time for him.
