Kelly Rowland Wants More Than Destiny’s Child Label

Kelly Rowland wants to make her mark and be known for her solo work rather than just being a former member of Destiny’s Child.
She says, “I wanted people to notice me as Kelly Rowland the singer, not just Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child. I don’t want to be funny when I say that - Destiny’s Child is the reason why I’m here and it’s part of my history - but at the same time I’m feeling my own space.”

Kelly Rowland deserves individual recognition, she has a far more versatile voice than Beyonce and doesnt have to dress like a slapper to get attention. Recognition for tallent alone takes longer to build but lasts a lifetime. Recognition for looks will quickly fade

kelly rowland doesn’t follow beyonce,she is over shadowed by her because of her ‘management’…mr.knowles concentrates on beyonce more than he does on kelly,michelle or even sollange!

I would have to say I agree, I don’t think Kelly tries to follow Beyonce at all. I can understand why some may feel that, after all they did grow up together and had careers together for a number of years. It shouldn’t be shocking that they might share similarities. I think that Kelly lacks the confidence she needs to be a “big” star and not to mention good management. I still love her though and thinks she is beautiful!
