Mariah Carey ft. Jay-Z - "Bye Bye" Remix

Mariah Carey’s new single “Bye Bye” is not one of my favorites but I spotted this remix with Jay-Z and now I like it even less. Sorry. I used to be the biggest Mariah fan but her new stuff sounds the same and it’s just not as good as it used to be. Jay sounds like… well, Jay, lol.
The only problem I have about this remix is that it has kind of lost the seriousness of the message. The beat and all that sounds a bit out of place for such a sad song. Anyway listen for yourself:
thats what i thought aswell when i heard the remix.. they have removed all seriousness of the song. But do u think they care? They want to make (more) money.. regardless.
Mariah is so scared of fallin again E-mc2 is EOMM pt two. The album shows no creativity. Like I said: Money.

I agree there is no originality in the song. It sounds like something she did before and as for Jay it sounds like the ‘Miss You” song he dedicated to Aaliyah with a little bit of Biggie Smalls & Bone thugs and harmony.
If you ever heard Mariah carey’s song “Breakdown” (one of her best songs ever) she did with Bone thugs and harmony well it sounds like a remake of that.

B4real, you should be for real and admit that this song is not happening. This song, and many others in the mainstream, has no substance what so ever. Plus, it ain’t about what these folks are saying anymore, its about how you look and who made it. Period. As for Jay, I’m sure he’s remixing, rapppin, hustling and the whole nine considering that he MAY have a baby on the way. But that doesn’t mean you should put out garbage, because all money ain’t good money.
Connie I am for real. I LIKE THE SONG!! Like i said it reminds me of mC’s Breakdown song w/ a mix of Biggie & Bone Thugs. Mariah sings this song like she does all of her other ballads. I like it. The song has substance. how do you figure it doesn’t? Did you actually listen to it? Jay is talking about friends he lost, he misses them, and Mariah is doing the same, talking about how they never saw what she achieved since they are gone. What more substantive message do you need?
What Jay allegedly having a baby on the way has to do w/ the song is beyond me. It’s funny b/c radio critics are saying that they havenot heard Jay rap like this in a while, meaning, it’s a good thing. Jay rocked his lyrics. I’m a lyricist I’m impressed by words, not just beats and producers. I can only advise you to listen to the words Connie, b/c it sounds like you didn’t.
